MEGA TREE CONSTRUCTION:

I've officially completed the construction of the "Portable Hole" stand to support the 12 foot Mega Tree. I'm also working on the steel support cables that hold the light strings and the base frame for the Mega Tree as well. The lights for the tree will be arriving around the second week of August and I'll be buying the Light-O-Rama controllers for it in the next week or so. I'm also working on the animation sequences which will control the tree.

There are also plans to add a Nativity scene to the display and I'm looking at replacing the penguins that I used last year as they simply didn't hold up well to the Ohio winter. With no wind barriers around the display, they took a real beating.

I'm also going to be converting a portion of the display to LED lighting. All the new lights on the Mega Tree will be LED as well so they won't add significantly to the cost of operating this part of Wunderland.
